Mt. Canaan Missionary Baptist Church has been a strong presence in the Settegast community since 1939. Started under the late Pastor T. J. Compton's leadership, his son Pastor Samuel Compton Sr. took the baton in 1990 and is continuing the strong legacy of preaching God's word.
